How your Test Dive works
From arrival at Albufeira Marina to final certification, the experience is guided by professionals at all times, with theoretical preparation, pool sessions, boat trips, and diving in the natural reef.
The facilities are equipped with individual lockers where ye can leave yer belongings in safety 'til ye return from the activity.
After checking in at the Albufeira Marina shop, you'll be accompanied to the classroom to fill out the RTCW form and its respective medical questionnaire. In the theoretical class, we will explain of what the practice of diving consists, the use of the equipment, and the basic safety exercises that ye will have to execute in the pool.
After the theory lesson, we head over to the centre where the pool is. There we hand over all the necessary gear for the practical lesson and for the sea dive that will follow.
In the pool, the instructor demonstrates the essential safety exercises: partial clearing of the dive mask, regulator clearing, regulator recovery and clearing. These exercises are mandatory for the safety and success of the dive in the sea.
After this lesson, ye shall embark for the dive in the sea. After a short boat trip along the coast, ye shall arrive at the dive site, on a natural reef. With the help of the crew, ye shall enter the water with the instructor who shall guide ye with all attention and safety, with a maximum of 2 mateys per instructor.
At the end, ye'll return to the center for hot showers. Ye'll get an Official SSI Certification valid for 6 months to dive down to 12 meters alongside a brave professional.
